About

Gilmore is a Seattle based artist who works primarily with acrylic paint, collage materials, ink and graphite. She composes her abstract paintings from observed landscapes in her world, but she often makes up parts as well. Gilmore paints intuitively, experimenting with the paint texture, vintage papers and color as she composes.

Trisha has been joyfully making art since grade school, when she found her first “How to Draw Comics” book and with it a love of creation. She has her degree in education and art from George Fox University and University of Washington.  Trisha has been a teaching artist in and out of the classroom with Pratt, Powerful Schools, Seattle Public Schools, The Community School and many other venues over the years.  Trisha was on the Tukwila Arts Commission for 17 years and always seeks out art venues to view and participate in.
